Please join us every Tuesday form 9 to 11 for our SUPER FUN library days! We will have maker spaces where your child can create origami, make crafts, learn coding and circuits, build, and much more! Last Day of School Remains June 1st

Magnolia I.S.D. students will not be required to make up Friday's rain day. The last day for students will still be on Wednesday, June 1st.

Events on the last day include the Talent Show at 8:40 and the fifth grade Walk of Honor at 11:45. This day will be a sack lunch day. Please make sure your child does not have any fees owed to the cafeteria or library so that he or she may receive a report card. Students will be released at 12:35.

After School Program Parent Survey

We are pleased to inform you that the Magnolia Independent School District will be offering a new and exciting “MISD After School Adventures Program” beginning next school year (2016-2017 School Year). The goal for the after school program will be to incorporate learning into a fun and adventurous atmosphere led by instructors employed by the school district.

As we lay the groundwork for the program, we would like to gain feedback from our parents and guardians so that we design after school programming that best meets the diverse needs of our students and parents.

Kindergarten Round Up - May 4th and 5th

We are so excited to welcome all of our new students to kindergarten for the 2016-2017 year!

Registration will be on May 4th and 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Items you will need to bring with you in order to register:

Driver's License of the parent or valid photo ID
Student's shot record with a clinic stamp or physician signature
Student's social security card
Student's birth certificate - certified copy with state seal, not a hospital keepsake
Proof of residency - example: lease or utility bill - It must have your name and physical address listed on it
Any legal paperwork regarding custody or guardianship of the student

Congratulations Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year

A huge congratulations goes out to Cindy Dyess, our Teacher of the Year, and Angelica Ramirez, our Paraprofessional of the Year.

The two were surprised at Friday's morning assembly when the announcement was made. Their families were also there to celebrate with them. They will now go on to represent Smith Elementary at the annual teacher appreciation banquet to see who will become the district teacher and para of the year.

We are so proud of these two sweet, hard-working ladies!

Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to our two-time Spelling Bee Champion Ryan Adamson! Ryan, a fourth grader, has won the Spelling Bee for two years in a row! Another congratulations goes out to Kennedy Sams, fourth grader, who was our runner up. Great job, everyone!
